Paul Richard Burglin

Attorney Paul Burglin assists people throughout the Oakland, Bay Area, Marin County, and the wine regions of Sonoma and Napa Counties who have been charged with driving under the influence (DUI). He has been involved in over 5,000 DUI cases since 1985, and he has acted as lead counsel in over 120 DUI jury trials. As one of the most accomplished and seasoned DUI defense attorneys in the state of California, Mr. Burglin has gained the respect of judges and prosecutors, who know that he provides tenacious advocacy for his clients.

Paul Burglin has co-authored the two-volume treatise California Drunk Driving Law since 2004, and this guide is regularly used by other attorneys as they prepare defenses in DUI cases. He serves a regent of the National College of DUI Defense (NCDD), and he regularly attends the NCDD's annual seminar and works as editor-in-chief of its national Journal. As a graduate of the University of Indiana's comprehensive course on chemical testing and scientific protocols for DUI, Mr. Burglin has extensive knowledge of the methods law enforcement officials use to prosecute DUI cases.
